Ingredients
1/2 cup
Butter (cubed)
1 cup
All-purpose flour
2 tablespoons
All purpose flour
3/4 cup
Sugar
3 teaspoons
Baking powder
1/4 teaspoon
Salt
2/3 cup
2% milk
1 teaspoon
Vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups
Coarsely chopped pecans
1 cup
Brown sugar
3/4 cup
Brickle toffee bits
1 1/2 cups
Boiling water
Ice cream for serving (optional)
Step by Step Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 and melt the butter in a 9 x 13 baking pan (should take about 3 to 5 minutes).
- Stir the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together, then stir in the milk and vanilla until the mixture is well combined.
- Remove the baking pan from the oven, then add the batter and sprinkle with pecans, toffee, and brown sugar.
- Slowly pour the boiling water over the top (do not stir), then bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
- Cool on a rack for 30 minutes, then serve warm with ice cream.
