Martin's Farmstand: Consulting and Life Coaching Services by Daniel
Hello everyone, it has been a while since you all heard from us. On the farm front we are starting the first seeds and the farmstand is open every Saturday afternoon from noon to 5 pm. Summer hours will resume in May when the asparagus harvest starts. We have 15,000 strawberry plants and 5,000 asparagus crowns ordered for planting this year. The other crops are at normal levels so the market should have lots of good food coming this summer if God blesses us with sunshine and rain.
The Greenwoods are living in the front house and we (the Martin’s) plan to continue living in the back house. In the spring we plan to add an addition to the back house to give us Martin’s a bit more room.
As I transition into semi-retirement, I am excited to offer my services as a consultant and life coach to our community. My goal is to support you in gaining awareness—awareness of your strengths, challenges, and most importantly, your options.
Life Coaching
Life coaching is about walking alongside you to help you think clearly and move toward your goals. Together, we’ll explore who you are, who you want to be, and how to bridge that gap. This isn’t about me telling you what to do—it’s about crafting plans, overcoming obstacles, and uncovering solutions that align with your vision for your life.
Consulting
As a consultant, I provide direct advice and practical solutions for specific challenges. Whether it’s a technical issue, a business decision, or a personal project, I can help you think through your options and create actionable plans.
About Me
I bring a broad range of experience to the table, including:
• Operating a successful farmstand and strawberry business for 25+ years.
• Managing diverse farming, forestry, and homesteading operations.
• Working in construction, equipment maintenance, and retail.
• Building strong relationships as a husband and father to nine wonderful children.
Over the years, I’ve developed a deep interest in helping others navigate relationships, overcome conflict, and build healthier lives. I’ve learned that sometimes, all we need is a fresh perspective and someone to listen.
How I Can Help
My services are flexible and tailored to your needs:
• One-on-one coaching or group discussions.
• Hands-on help with farm, business, or personal projects.
• Advice on succession planning, business expansion, or downsizing.
• Walk-throughs of woodlots, fields, or gardens to develop stewardship plans.
• Guidance on building repairs, layouts, or equipment purchases.
• A listening ear to help you process life’s challenges and brainstorm solutions.
Compensation
I do this work because I care, not because I have to. While I will charge for some services, I’m open to pro bono work and flexible payment arrangements. The goal is to help, not add financial stress.
Next Steps
If you’re interested, I’d love to hear from you. Please reach out via email or letter to share a bit about yourself and what you hope to gain from working together. From there, we can set up a time to connect.
Let’s explore the possibilities together,
Daniel Martin 11 Needham Road, Potsdam, New York 13676 Danielzmartin2024@gmail.com
